I saw Dick Gregory at New Mexico State University in the early 70s. He was on his diet then. I still remember his advice to NMSU students about economic boycotts: “Quit eating meat for a week in the university cafeteria, and the big-time rancher will soon be coming to the university president, saying, “Hey, boy, I want to talk to you.”
